New Here

We’re Are Excited to Meet YOU!

At Olive Branch Church, we’re always excited to welcome new visitors. We hope you’ll join us for a service!

Here’s what you can expect when you come to our 10:30 a.m. service.

If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, feel free to use one of the spots closest to the door, or feel free to use the overhang to drop off whomever or whatever is needed and one of our ushers will help as best as they can. We like to keep these parking spots free for visitors and people who need assistance, so please feel free to use those!

Please don't worry about what you'll wear to church,

We truly believe that people should come to God as they are, and let Him do His work from there. You don’t need to dress up to get His approval...that comes through faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice! Once you walk in the doors, you’ll see people in all kinds of dress. While a few people in the church will wear ties, others like to remind them that Jesus never wore a tie. At Olive Branch, shorts are as welcome as suits, and you’ll see both! In other words, don’t let what you wear to church keep you from coming to church…

When you walk in,

When you come into the church, you will be welcomed by one of our greeters and probably even 10 other people. Don’t be alarmed; we just want you to feel welcome! As you walk in, you’ll notice goodies and coffee available, so please, help yourself. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. One of our greeters will be happy to answer as many (or as few) questions you might have.

If you have kids, a greeter will be glad to help you register at our Children’s security station and then help you find the nursery and Kids Church area. The nursery is available all service if necessary, but we worship in song as a family and the elementary kids will be dismissed following.

Be sure to hang around after the service and join us for coffee.

Following the service, you’ll have a chance to meet our pastor (if you haven’t before the service) and many other people in the church. We are quite excited that, even when the service is over, people still aren’t ready to go home! Fellowship is vital to the church, and we would love to get to know you so you’re a familiar face the next time you join us!

What to expect

Before the service

Grab some coffee, grab a snack, and shake a hand or give a hug on the way to the sanctuary.

If you would like to check your children in for Kid’s Ministry, we would be happy to walk you through that process as well. Safety is of utmost importance when it comes to your children! We use a check-in system that allows your child to be registered and identified, with a matching tag for the parent or those authorized to pick them up...and if your child needs you during the service, we can text you immediately. All of our volunteers who serve in Children's Ministry have been carefully chosen and background checked.

So whether you are signing them up for Kid’s Church (K-6) or nursery (0-5 years old), we want you to know that your children will be well protected and cared for during that time. If you have any questions regarding our Children's Ministry program, don’t be afraid to ask!

If you happen to forget your Bible, feel free use the one found near your seat. If you don’t have a Bible, feel free to take it home with you!

During the service

We strive to be a people who don’t follow Christ half-heartedly, so we choose to be purposeful and intentional about all that we do throughout our services. You’ll hear that in the songs that we sing, in the prayers we offer up, and in the preaching from the pulpit. Every part of our service is grounded in the Bible, which we are committed to upholding and teaching. We intentionally preach the Bible verse by verse, studying each verse to better understand what God is telling us through His living Word.

Here at Olive Branch Church, we worship in song as a family. Our desire is that our children have the opportunity to worship God together with their family, and to experience what it means to share our praise as a church body.

Once your child is checked in, they will sit with you during our praise and worship time, and then will be dismissed with their teachers to go downstairs to Kid's Church and Nursery area.

We believe it is important for children to participate with their parents in worship, as well as the other adults. As important as it is for children to see adults worship God, it encourages us as adults when we see little hearts inclined to Him as well.

After the service

Following the service, parents can head downstairs to pick up your kids by showing the teacher their matching tag, and meeting those who cared for and taught them about Jesus!

We hope you will stick around for more coffee and conversation! This is a time to meet our pastor and staff, and get to hear how much we, as a staff, LOVE coffee! We would also enjoy the opportunity to hear your story as we get to know you better!

No matter what your church background is (or maybe isn’t), we hope you will consider joining us this Sunday.

At Olive Branch Church, you’ll find people of many different walks of life and backgrounds, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Ministries

"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works."

(Hebrews 10:24)

At Olive Branch Church, we have a simple hope: to see people come to know Jesus Christ, grow in their Christian faith, and share the Good News of the Gospel with others.

Children Ministry

Our Children's ministry allows children to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ in a way and at a level that will allow learning to take place. We provide a fun and safe space to share Bible Truths through object lessons, scripture memory and crazy games...but each with a purpose. Kid's Church is available for grades K-6  each Sunday morning at 10:30am. Nursery is provided for younger kids during services each Sunday morning.

Youth Ministry

OBC Youth focuses on loving and leading students to become fully devoted disciples of Christ through challenging and engaging Bible Study every Wednesday night from 6:15-7:30pm, outreach and service projects, and exciting events throughout the year.

For those in grades 7-12, come and learn the Bible, have some fun, and build relationships with Jesus at the center of all of it!
